About God

God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe.  He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  These three are

co-eternal, co-equal, and are one God.

The Father

He is all-powerful, all-knowing, all-loving, and all wise.  He reigns with providential care over the universe and the course of human history goes according to His eternal purpose and plan.  God is Father in truth to those who become children of God through faith in Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the Son of God.  He is co-equal with the Father.  Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on the cross.  He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death.  He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return someday to earth as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God.  He is present in the world to make men aware of the need for Jesus Christ.  He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation.  He provides the Christian with the power to live with understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right.  He gives every believer a spiritual gift when they are saved.  As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily.

About Salvation

We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. No ritual, work, or any other activity is required in order to be saved. This saving grace of God, through the power of the Holy Spirit, also sanctifies us by enabling us to do what is pleasing in God’s sight in order that we might be progressively conformed to the image of Christ. We believe that all the redeemed, once saved, are kept by God’s power and are thus secure in Christ forever. John 1:12-13; 6:37-44; 10:25-30; Acts 16:30-31; Romans 3-4; 8:1-17,31-39; 10:8-10; 1 Corinthians 1:4–8; Ephesians 2:8-10; Philippians 2:12-13; Titus 3:3-7; 1 Peter 1:5; 1 John 1:7,9.

Belivers Baptism and The Church

We believe that water baptism and the Lord’s Supper are to be observed until the time of Christ’s return. They are not a means of salvation. Baptism in water is by immersion and a direct commandment of our Lord for believers only. Water baptism is a symbol of the Christian’s identification with Christ in death, burial and resurrection. Matthew 26:26-29; 28:19; Acts 8:36-39; Romans 6:3-11; 1 Corinthians 11:23-34; Col 2:12; 1 Peter 3:21.

Giftedness - We believe that God uniquely gifts and empowers each believer for specific places of services within each church.

Guidance - We believe that the church should strive in all its efforts to be guided by God.

Love - We believe that love, for God and people, should be the primary motivation for all our actions.

People - We believe that all people matter to God and therefore should matter to the church.

Relevancy - We believe that the church should strive to be culturally relevant without compromising the timeless message of Jesus.
